Due to the continued success of their North-Yorkshire office, my client is seeking a professional ME QS to work on a wide range of projects.
The role will involve proving cost management advise predominately at pre contract stage for a University based client on a major PFI project.
This role presents an excellent opportunity for a forward thinking individual who wants to take a project from conception to completion.
To be considered for this role you must have the following experience:
Essential
* Quantity Surveyor (cost manager) with a minimum of eight years experience in Mechanical or Electrical surveying (or an M+E generalist with more recent experience of being a specialist in either field).
* Technical background with a degree in quantity surveying, engineering, or another construction related subject or equivalent.
* Project experience of large complex schemes in excess of £10m
* 'Cost planning' and 'managing a design to budget' experience on projects with a minimum of supervision
* Excellent customer and internal team management skills
* Well organised, diligent, proactive, well disciplined and commercially astute
* Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal

Desirable
* MRICS or professionally qualified in either a surveying or engineering discipline
* Experience of leading the building services aspects of major projects.
* A good all round surveyor with exceptional experience in cost planning on major projects in a specific Mechanical or Electrical services capacity.
