Senior Maintenance Technician - Glasgow
Salary
£34,222 - £36,068 Inclusive of Shift Allowance
+ Package & Bonus Scheme
Our client require a Senior Maintenance Technician to join their team in Glasgow. Candidates MUST have previous rolling stock experience to be considered for this role.
Role Description
With supervision you will undertake maintenance and repair of the allocated rolling stock to meet the requirements of the production plan. Working on a rotating shift basis, you will be responsible for electrical and some mechanical maintenance of modern rolling stock. Maintenance activities can be broken down into routine electrical and mechanical service checks to ensure train safety through to major overhaul.
You will be undertaking technical investigations and carrying out download diagnosis and fault finding to an advanced level. You will be required to produce complex, analytical technical reports on fault investigations. The role requires you to assist in the provision of technical support at incidents off depot and undertake any other duties as and when required.
Required Experience
Candidates wishing to be considered for this role will be apprenticed trained in either electrical or mechanical engineering and have the ability to use laptops for fault finding for rectification purposes. Candidates must also have the ability to produce detailed and complex, analytical technical reports. You must be able to understand and interpret relevant technical publications and demonstrate commitment and adherence to safety, quality and environmental practices.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate an extensive experience of maintaining modern rolling stock and have a solid track record for working with rail companies.
