Management Accountant
A well respected and growing London Based law firm is looking for a qualified accountant to join there highly skilled accounts team. Due to natural growth they are looking for a highly skilled management accountant who has undertaken the full set of management accounts and prepared the year end packs. This is a high profile role within a dynamic and growing law firm.
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING TO APPLY;
·Qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA
·2 years experience in a Management Accounting role with experience in all the duties laid out below
·MUST be from a partnership background – Legal, Accountancy, Architects, Surveyors
·Have advanced Excel skills
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collation and production of firm wide and departmental budgets
Assist and support budget managers with expenditure plans and re-forecasts
Hold monthly meetings with managers to discuss the budgetary position and agree action
plans where required
Produce monthly departmental management accounts, investigating and reporting on
budget variances to department heads and Partnership Executive Committee
Ownership of balance sheet and reconciliations of all accounts
To perform the month end routine
Key point of contact for auditors
Production of year end audit file, including ETB, supporting schedules and LLP financial
statements
- NSO returns, benchmarking and other industry surveys
- Administration of distribution of partners’ profit sharing and fixed capital contributions, tax payments and other partner financial administration. Coordinate the preparation of the quarterly VAT return
- Assisting non financial team leaders in understanding and using financial information
- Co-operate with other Business Services departments to provide an integrated support service to the partnership
- Undertake ad-hoc reports and responsibilities as required
