Eaton's aerospace business in Titchfield, Hampshire is looking to recruit a highly experienced Mechanical Systems Engineer, with a strong Aerospace background to join the engineering department. Knowledge of Flowmaster, MATLAB Simulink & DOORS, aswell as a general understanding of aircraft fuel systems (fuel, inerting & thermal) is essential to this challenging role that offers good career progression. Excellent communication skills & strong PC knowledge (inc Powerpoint) are vital to interface wih customers & conduct presentations/reports.
Primary Function;
To convert customer requirements into fuel system architecture that meet system requirements
. Develop system requirements, interface and component specifications.
. Plan and co-ordinate system tests, analyse and report results.
. Interpret test results and recommend changes to meet system requirements.
. To Configure and analyse aircraft fuel system/fuel tank inerting architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
. Synthesis and analyse of aircraft fuel systems / NEA distribution system / vent system architectures.
. Specification of system components and support integration testing (ground and flight tests) to demonstrate compliance with customer requirements.
. Liaise/present test data to system partners and customers through regular telecoms and at design reviews and TCMs (Technical Co -ordination meetings)
. Perform system analyses to define system sizing and performance.
Experience required:
. Aerospace background.
. Analytical skills appropriate to fluid flow systems and gas mixing as applied to aircraft fuel systems, fuel tank inerting and fuel tank venting systems.
. General understanding of aircraft systems particularly, fuel, inerting and thermal.
. Excellent PC skills and competence inc MS Office, Excel, Powerpoint, Word.
. Excellent communication, interpersonal & presentation skills.
. Knowledge of scale modelling techniques and non-dimensional analysis (advantageous)
Qualification required:
. Degree or equivalent in mechanical, aeronautical or control engineering.
