Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the Mechanical Engineer will ideally have a background in RCM, RCA, FMECA. A balance of plant equipment would be advantageous.
The Mechanical Engineer will have proven engineering experience & a track record of delivering results within an engineering & equipment reliability function. High level of station contact is required as well as periodic visits to power stations. Exp in the following advantageous: Station operations or maintenance practice, condition monitoring techniques, production of engineering changes, Industry regulatory requirements, management of ageing & obsolescence, System Health processes, Equipment reliability processes, reliability centred maintenance (RCM), facilitation/analysis exp.
The mechanical engineer should ideally be qualified to min standard of HNC/HND (having acheived or be working towards I Eng) or degree level (having achieved or be working towards Chartered status) in a relevant discipline - engineering, physics, mathematics or similar.
