An opportunity has arisen for a suitably senior and experienced individual to manage and lead the Client On-boarding team of a top tier house.

Responsibilities

* Management of the AML/KYC Client On-boarding function for the on-boarding of new clients for the Global Markets businesses within EMEA
* Management of the Client review function for the population of the clients historically on-boarded for Global Markets
* Management of the electronic on-boarding and ecommerce on-boarding functions for Global Markets
* Provide regional support for queries and escalation from the Business plus aligned support groups working in conjunction with the regional AML executive team.
* Deliver on global operational strategic initiatives including changes to organisational structure, technology infrastructure and client service.
* Define AML operational business requirements for new enhancements and changes in system infrastructure when required.
* Assist and lead projects to deliver changes in the Business needs, policies and strategy which affect the operational support and processes.
* Co-ordinate and communicate changes in processes/systems to the Business and other aligned support teams.
* Co-ordinate and control the post trade reporting alongside Compliance & Business managers.
* Co-ordinate and interface with regulators with regards to Audit and other regulatory issues. Own audit findings and ensure timely resolution.
* Provide the relevant training to the team on new systems, processes and policy changes.
* Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including Front Office, Compliance, HR & IT.
* Undertake mid-year and annual appraisals for direct reports. Identify training gaps and development needs for the team, coaching and mentoring where necessary.
* Identify and develop talent within the team to ensure succession planning is in place.
* Oversee recruitment of key staff at all levels.

Core skills and requirements

* Strong subject matter expertise in the area of Anti-money laundering.
* Familiarity with AML regulatory environment and regional regulations.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* People management skills including motivating, developing and directing the team.
* Ability to network and build strong cross functional working relationships
* Ability to work with minimal supervision and oversight
* Ability to translate strategic concepts into tactical action plans and drive execution
