Senior PHP Developer / LAMP Developer – Cardiff - £28 – 35,000 – Two vacancies
As Senior PHP Developer / LAMP Developer you’ll report to the Head of eCommerce, who is also an experienced developer, and form a key member of the eCommerce team; a close knit unit consisting of 2 other PHP Developers (plus Head of eCommerce), SEO specialist, Sales, Support, Web Designer, and a highly experienced Tester.The emphasis is on high quality solutions, and their established team form a tight unit focussed on delivering fully customised, robust solutions.This is an excellent opportunity for career progression, and as the business continues to grow you can expect to have a couple of junior developers looking up to you.This is a career opportunity, not just a job.
Drupal experience would be ideal (writing your own modules and themes), however we welcome applications from candidates with strong OO PHP 5 experience, Linux / Unix, MySQL, (LAMP) and an interest in learning the more complex aspects of Drupal.
As well as being a bit of a PHP guru you’ll need good client facing skills, whilst you’ll be predominantly office based you will be expected to attend the ad hoc client visits every once in a while.
Requirements:
- Confident in your ability to code in OO PHP5 - essential
- Linux / Unix experience
- MySQL
- JavaScript
- HTML
- CSS
- Experience developing eCommerce solutions
- Drupal (writing modules and themes) – highly desirable, but not essential
- Excellent time management skills
- Experience estimating costs and scheduling for projects would be nice
- Highly motivated, keen to learn new technologies and keep up to date with emerging technologies
- Mentoring / Team leadership experience a real plus
