Senior PR and Press Relations Manager

As part of our ongoing investment in our UK activities, we are looking for a local Press Relations Manager to be based in our London offices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The main role of the UK PR Manager will be to manage our local PR agency and develop a network of contacts within the general, business, B2B, and consumer (fashion/lifestyle, women’s) press.
His or her responsibilities:
Define the PR strategy in the UK
Work with our local PR agency on a daily basis
Develop an annual PR operations plan in conjunction with our local PR agency to improve VP’s image and brand recognition
Establish good relations with key journalists
Put in place various PR tool (press releases, press kits, FAQs, visuals, videos, etc.)
Organize press events (lunches, trips, open days, conferences, interview preparation, journalists’ requests)
Draft briefs and speeches/presentations for the UK Country Sales Manager for use during meetings with the British press
Support the UK Coordination Manager for specific PR operations (award applications, conferences, etc.)
Monitor the local press (operations, clippings, key messages...)
REQUIRED PROFILE :
The candidate should have 5 to 10 years’ experience in Press Relations with significant experience in a PR agency. He or she should have a solid network of press contacts in the general media as well as in trade, consumer, and fashion publications.
Self-sufficient, organized, and an outgoing nature are necessary qualities for the position.
The candidate hired for the position will undergo a training period in Paris at the beginning of their contract. The UK PR Manager will be expected in Paris to brief the Department Manager once every two months for one or two days at a time.
