We are the leading charity providing parenting support to parents. In today’s tough times, with less money around and less job security, family life can be difficult. At Parentline Plus, we’re available for parents 24 hours a day, seven days a week through a range of innovative and integrated services.
This role requires the direct delivery of a number of services to parents and supervision of a Parent Support Coordinator. The candidate must be able to build and maintain good relationships with key local organisations and communities. The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing and delivering against a Big Lottery funded Reaching Communities Project. This role is funded until September 2011. It is for 28 hours a week.
You will be responsible for managing a volunteer programme to include recruitment, training and supervision. Significant staff management experience is required.
It is essential that the candidate has experience of supporting others, either face to face or over the telephone. The successful individual will also have experience of facilitating support groups. Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with good presentation skills are necessary. Also the ability to listen with empathy is essential.
