The business covers a vast area of project work including roads and highways, piling work, excavation work, drainage and flood mitigation and clean and waste water and numerous major rail related work.
The current requirement is that of a Senior Planner whose focus will be to prepare technical input for a pre-qualification or tender. Preparation of method statements, programmes and progress updates at contract stage, as may be required by the project's management.
Assist with the preparation of method statements, technical write-ups and other programme analysis data in support of tender and pre-qualification programmes.
Responsible for the preparation of any programme or histogram that may be required as part of a submission. Responsible for the preparation of all programmes and histograms necessary for the accurate preparation of a tender.
The method statements and programmes, as well as all supporting documents, will be to a sufficient level of detail and accuracy to include in submission documents and for internal use to provide information for time related costs to be assessed.
Provide time related information with regard to the identification and specification for all temporary works needed to accomplish the project in accordance with the tender requirements. This information will be used for temporary works design and costing for inclusion in the tender prelims.
Preparation of various and necessary schedules of items for inclusion in prelims costs. Preparation of any other specific tender deliverable that might come under the generic heading of planning and programming.
Following award of the tender join the project team to deliver the project. Carry out all project planning duties as required by the contract and by the client procedures and the Project Manager's requirements.
Assist the Planning Manager to prepare programme submissions that will protect the company's interests in the event that contractual claims are made which involve construction sequence, logic, time and resources. Prepare progress updates and reports to the project's management as may be reasonable required.
Experience:
We are looking for someone with a minimum 10 years of construction planning experience. Experienced in heavy civil engineering and infrastructure projects and with a solid understanding of the timing and process of statutory submissions and approvals associated with construction projects.
Skills/Knowledge:
You will be experienced utilising Primavera P6 aslong with MS Project and MS Office Suite (Word and Excel). Candidates who have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese would be preferred. If you are unable to communicate in Chinese your application may still be considered.
