Overview
Our client is a leading Canadian engineering consulting firm that specialises in mechanical and electrical systems. They are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager for the first phase of a Quebec-based 2 million square ft. P3 hospital. The role is about 25% schematic design in an RFP.
Role :
o Manage and Execute all aspects of the Project Management Framework
o Manage and co-ordinate 3 design engineering teams. The design approach will be set by the technical expertise of the hiring engineering consulting firm.
o Manage co-ordination with the larger consortium (architectural, construction, legal teams and finance)
o Manage a USD 3 million, 15,000 man-hours 40 week design engineering budget
o Manage a design schedule
o Manage scope ensuring any changes are appropriately handled
o Create a structure and organization for the management of a complex environment with emphasis on quality, productivity, and consistency.
o Manage design team meetings
o Ensure that the project plan maintains tasks, schedules, estimates, and status
o Participate in several bi-lateral presentation to government, health care institution, and other team members

Skills
Requirements
o Proven Senior Project Management experience
o Fully bilingual (written, oral, technical) in French and English
o Excellent communication, organizational, negotiation, persuasion and conflict resolution capabilities
o Construction experience required.
o PMP preferred but not required.
