Permanent-way Design Engineer
Based in North West
Salaries range from £30,000 - £50,000 + Very generous package
My client is a leading multidisciplinary design consultancy who is heavily involved within the rail sector and has formed strategic long term partnerships with key clients such as Network Rail. Due to an increased workload they have an urgent requirement for P-way designers to assist in exciting infrastructure projects ranging from feasibility studies through to detailed design which includes S&C & Plain line design.
The Role:
*The individual will be involved in Permanent way design ranging from feasibility studies to detailed design work
*Checking and supervising the design work of other team members
*Leading site survey and inspection work
*On certain roles, you may take the role of Project Manager as this allows
*Liaison with other disciplines within the organisation
*Acting as key client contact for the P-Way team, working to establish and develop client relationships
*Acting as a liaison between the company and both Installation Contractors and S&C Manufacturers and other parties as required
The Requirement:
*Previous experience of Permanent Way (P-Way) design (both S&C and plain line) with a thorough working knowledge of Network Rail standards and current working practices
*As a minimum, the successful applicant will be BTEC/HNC qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
*You will have a good working knowledge of design software and drawing production
