Our client is a leading Defence Consultancy with high value, complex engineering contracts with the MoD and related companies in the development of Nuclear and Attack Submarines.
They do not manufacture anything themselves but provide engineering assistance, input and analysis on behalf of their clients.
This position is within the Safety and Supportability division of the Defence business and is at the cutting edge of Defence Technology.
They are seeking Senior Risk Assessment Engineers who are able to demonstrate sufficient and appropriate mechanical engineering analytical capability to deliver a range of technically challenging projects and to support the development of risk assessment and safety cases in the nuclear industry.

This is a scientific/Engineering position as such candidates must have a degree in a relevant subject, with a sound technical background. We are also looking for some experience (post grad) in the nuclear industry and experience in some or all of the following is essential:
- Fault Tree Analysis
- Event Tree Analysis
- Failure Modes, Effects and Critical Analysis
- Hazard and Risk Assesments
- Human Reliability Analysis (HEART, THERP, etc)
- Common Cause Failure Analysis (e.g. partial Beta factor method)
- Fault Schedule Production
We would like to speak with chartered engineers who have experience from the Automotive, Marine or of course Nuclear Submarine industries and have more opportunities available.
Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to sole British Citizens. Applicants who meet this criteria will also be required to undergo security clearance vetting, if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
