Invigorate Recruitment is acting as an Employment Agency in respect of this vacancy to recruit an experienced and talented Senior Software Engineer to join a successful organisation based within Leeds to work on innovative products involving real-time RF signal processing.
Applicants must have project experience of writing applications and device drivers in C/C++ to work with embedded operating systems. They must be familiar with the benefits and constraints of a range of processor types e.g. ARM, M16. Knowledge of one or more of Linux, eCos or embOS is a must.
A good understanding of basic communications and network protocols such as TCP, UDP, DHCP and HTTP would be beneficial. Knowledge of low level hardware interfacing, together with the use of real-time embedded debug tools, is required. Candidates should also be able to read and understand circuit schematics.
Most importantly, applicants should have a strong aptitude and desire to learn new technologies and develop robust and effective solutions in a technically challenging arena. This is an opportunity for a creative individual to contribute to and influence the core products of a small company working at the forefront of its field.
Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
