Senior Software Engineer - Poole
Salary
£35k - £40k

Our client are a leading manufacturer of rolling stock within the UK rail sector. They require an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join their team out of the Poole office.
Role Description
Our client require candidates to have previous experience of working on GSM-R or radio equipment installation projects, preferably within the rail sector. The role will require you to be responsible for the technical and engineering elements of the project. This will include being responsible for achieving budgets, timescale quality and performance targets. You will contribute in a hands on manner to all phases of the engineering project including systems analysis and design implementation, validation, test and engineering support to site commissioning.
You will be expected to give technical and engineering solutions for bids and tenders and be expected to deal with customers and suppliers.
You will report into the Principal Engineer and be responsible for maintaining and developing your own professional competencies whilst encouraging and assisting persons within the team to do also.
Required Experience
Candidate wishing to apply for this role must have worked in a similar position within GSM-R or Radio fitment projects.
Candidates must be qualified to degree level within an engineering discipline or be able to demonstrate similar experience.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience in the following:-
- Rational Rose Realtime to generate C++
- Unified modelling language UML
- C/C++ Development
- Knowledge of implementation of ISDN communications
- Understanding of Visual Studio 6/.NET and MFC
