My client is a market leader in medical decontamination, sterilisation and laboratory services. Due to ongoing success and expansion, a position has arisen for a Toxicology Team Leader. The position is based in the Laboratory Services Division at their Abergavenny site, in South Wales.
The position of Toxicology Team Leader involves the day to day supervision of 5 personnel, within the toxicology department, ensuring the timely reporting of results. This will involve the preparation and analysis of toxicology samples, authorising and validating results, while preparing, reviewing and maintaining SOPs for toxicology in accordance with CPA, BSI and UKAS (ISO17025).
The successful candidate will hold a MSc in Analytical Chemistry or Medical Toxicology. Candidates will ideally also have experience in handling GC-MS/MS and LC-MS/MS equipment, and authoring SOPs. Experience of UKAS is preferred. Previous experience of leading a team of analysts, and working in a customer focused environment is desired.
Salary: ~25,000
