Senior VMware/Wintel Engineer - Central London - £Negotiable + Bens
My client a 1 billion dollar IT services firm requires a Senior VMware/Wintel Engineer to effectively support and maintain VMware related tasks in an enterprise level environment. They are seeking a technically strong individual who is able to work with little direction.
You should have the following experience:- Proven experience with VMware VI3 and ESX3, VC3 certification a plus; Initial Exposure to VMware ESX4 / VI4 (vSphere4); Proven experience with Enterprise VMware tools; VMware Converter; VMware Consolidated Backup; Experience with third party tools a plus - Platespin Migrate, Vizioncore Suite; Exposure to alternate Hypervisors a plus - Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix XEN Server; Ability to performance tune VMware environments; Ability to provide in-depth resource monitoring of VMware environments; Ability to translate VMware monitoring metrics to meaningful triggers for the Co.`s EMS group; Experience troubleshooting poorly performing guest servers; Experience managing Windows servers (2000, 2003, 2008).
