Service Engineer - Washer Dis-Infectors
Our client is one of the U.K's leading provider of complete, ergonomical, cost-efficient solutions for effective cleaning, disinfection and sterilization in the healthcare and life science sectors.
They now require a Service and Test Engineer based in the South East to get on board to maintain and test their range of Autoclaves, Washer Dis-infectors and other range of cleaning equipment.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title:Service and Test Engineer
Reports To : Service Manager
Job Purpose
To effectively service and trest a range of our clients products, establish and maintain good customer relations by demonstrating a professional approach to work.
Job Accountabilities
1.To carry out servicing and testing of equipment to the relevant standards under the terms and conditions of the client's contract.
2.To cultivate a positive rapport with the customer, demonstrating first class interpersonal skills in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
3.To carry out electrical/mechanical fault finding of equipment.
4.To carry out calibration of equipment.
5.To produce quality documentation for submission to the customer.
6.To maintain regular communication with the internal Service Department and Projects Manager for the associated project.
7.To ensure the company equipment is being used and looked after correctly and that it is kept in a safe condition. To report all faulty equipment or equipment out of calibration to Service Supervisor.
8.To ensure that correct returns and non-conformance report procedures are followed.
9.To organise and prioritise a continuously changing workload, ensuring that all customers' calls and enquiries are replied to.
10.To ensure safe and tidy working including use of protective footwear, work wear and hard hats were required for local site working.
11.To problem solve, combining initiative with a practical and logical approach to all aspects of the position.
12.To provide sales leads to Service/Sales Manager
13.To read and comply with current relevant legislative documentation.
14.To produce written reports, as and when required/requested.
15.To submit accurately completed expense claim forms, with supportive documentation, on time.
16.To organise own overnight accommodation as and when required.
17.To maintain telephone contact with the office on a regular basis and with line supervisor.
18.To assist the team members as and when required/requested.
19.To report immediately any site down time to the Project Manager to allow a decision to be made whether it is chargeable or not.
General
20.Must hold a full UK driving licence.
21.To observe the company rules for employees.
22.To observe the company policy on Health & Safety at Work.
23.To observe the company policy and procedures on Quality Assurance.
24.To co-operate readily, politely and amicably with other company personnel.
25.To undertake any other duties as and when required.
Personal Requirements
1.Type of experience
Validation and commissioning and setting to use of capital equipment in the medical industry e.g. sterilization, washing and disinfection and clean utilities.
2.Qualifications
The post holder must hold either City & Guilds Levels 1 & 2 or an equivalent qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering.
3.Interpersonal Skills
The post holder must have a genuine interest in people and be able to deal with customers in a friendly manner, often within stressful situations. It is important that the post holder provides an excellent service on behalf of the Company.
4.Responsibility
The post holder will have responsibility for commissioning reports, calibration of engineers test equipment, basic stock control, equipment and health and safety.
5.Personal Skills
The post holder must be self-motivated, be able to work flexibly and under pressure in a dynamic and changing environment.
6.Physical Requirements
He/she must comply with Company dress code and maintain a professional appearance.
