To manage the Independent Review Services, acting as Designated Manager for Children Subject to Child Protection Plans (formerly Custodian of the Child Protection Register). To take a lead role in the development, application and monitoring of performance standards for all children and family services, ensuring the provision of high quality advice concerning practice.
Act as designated manager in respect of children subject to Child Protection Plans by ensuring that all records about these children are kept up to date, enquiries about children are recorded and considered in line with government guidance, manage notifications to other authorities about the movement of such children, manage notifications of people who may pose a risk of harm to children and manage requests for checks to ensure that unsuitable people do not work with children.
Applicants need to qualified in Social Work, registered with the GSCC and have substantial experience in a relevant social health care field in Children's Services including demonstrable experience at a management level and involvement in developing, implementing and evaluating policies and strategies. You will also need substantial experience of partnership working.
This is a permanent post paying £45,000 per year.
