The Construction arm of Corporate Services' Property Division draws together within a single unit all of the key elements of the building design team. We provide full design, implementation and project management services to all Council departments and a range of external agencies.
Your duties will include the supervision and execution of Electrical Services survey work, translation of concepts into contract drawings and the inspection and monitoring of projects. Workload will include new build, extension and refurbishment works in housing, education, industrial, sports & leisure and cultural areas. You will be expected to work independently and as a team member.
You should be qualified to HNC or equivalent, have an appropriate level of post qualification experience and a broad based understanding of the building services process. You should be highly motivated and a confident and accurate communicator. Experience in the use of CAD, NBS and HEVACOMP and other related software is desirable but not essential as further training will be available in post.
Knowledge and expertise in the application of IEE Wiring Regulations BS 7671 is essential. An understanding of the CDM Regulations and other property related issues and developments is essential as is an ability to maintain quality standards and customer focus.
