Working as part of a residential care team you will be responsible for the delivery of care to young people, consistent with the Department's policies and procedures in relation to children and young people in residential care. It is essential that you hold or have the capacity to achieve an SVQ 3 in Care and an HNC in Social Care or qualification at or above SCQF level 7 that includes social policy, sociology and psychology. Qualifications at level 8 (SCQF) or above, approved for this grade of post by the SSSC are also acceptable. An understanding of the needs and difficulties of young people is essential. You will be registered or will require to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). Please note that this is an on spec advert.
