We need ambitious Shared Service Centres (SSC) & Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Management Consultants at Senior Consultant/ Senior Manager level for our growing Consulting practice based in London. The group provides knowledge and experience to help clients with a diverse range of issues which could include:
- Assessing & improving the role, organisation & effectiveness of finance functions.
- Feasibility studies for multi-functional SSC's.
- Design of the target operating model (TOM).
- Implementation and optimisation of SSC's.
- Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) advice on feasibility to transition to BPO providers.
- Supporting cost reduction exercises.

This opportunity is focusing specifically on Consumer and Industrial Products and Services (CIPS) and Technology, Info-Comms, Entertainment, Energy & Utilities industry sectors (TICE-E).You will be part of a highly skilled, specialist team within a wider group of finance change professionals. Requirements:Our requirements for this Senior Consultant role include:
- Education to Degree level (Further personal / industry qualifications such as ACA/CIMA or MBA are valuable.
- Experience of large shared services and outsourcing programmes, preferably within a major blue chip or Consulting environment.
- Experience of leading projects throughout the full lifecycle ? design, build & transition on an international basis.
- Experience of leading large projects across a number of different territories and of managing multiple projects.
- Experience in supporting decision making at a senior level (CFO level) and able to demonstrate a track record of implementation success, achieving savings and overcoming various challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to advise senior management on alternative solutions and risks with experience of presenting and influencing at a senior level.
- Experience of leading an organisation through a major change project.
- Awareness of finance operating models and processes in a multi-national corporate environment.
- Experience in other, related finance processes would be an advantage but not considered essential.
- Ideally some exposure to business development.
- A wider finance background (such as accounting or finance management) would be preferable.
- At least some relevant CIPS or TICE-E industry sector experience is essential so please detail this on your CV.
- Wider international exposure beneficial, preferably but not exclusive to Europe and Asia.
Responsibilities:This role will be mainly client-side, leading teams and supporting transformational work around shared services centres (SSC) and outsourcing engagement. This means leading the design and set up of the new organisation, managing the change and leading the migration of activities.Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery of projects as part of a senior PwC/Client team.
- Contributing to our continued thought leadership around SSC process, policy, strategy, governance, reporting and systems to ensure that appropriate solutions are developed for clients.
- It is probable that your work will be part of wider transformational programmes and hence exposure to other finance and non-finance processes is desirable.
Your role will involve some business development duties, leveraging off our strong existing client relationships and colleagues to find opportunities where we can assist clients in large scale transformation. You will of course, also be expected to lead multiple engagements giving your role a broad remit across marketing and delivery. As part of a multi-disciplinary PwC team you will often be working directly with senior client management, leading and participating in meetings with senior client staff and colleagues to add value to our clients through identifying and delivering benefits which are sustainable.
