To manage the day-to-day efficient running of the chilled shift operations to deliver competitive advantage, optimising customer service, innovation, quality and cost in a safe working environment. Specific responsibilities include delivering all factory KPIs with a well-trained team whilst supporting and delivering a culture of continuous improvement and development.
SCOPE OF JOB:
?Manage shift performance and KPI's (to include labour, materials, utilities).
?Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
?Manage the personal development of all reporting staff.
?Manage area budgets in conjunction with the General Manager.
?Liaise closely with the General Manager to manage overall site performance and KPIs.
?Support strategic plans for the site in conjunction with the General Manager.
?Ensure compliance with all Company and legislative polices and procedures.
?Liase and co-operate with all functions on site
EXPERIENCE:
?Production management within the food industry,
?Demonstrable understanding of the food industry, processes & equipment.
?Demonstration of Lean Manufacturing experience.
?Up-to-date understanding of relevant legislative policies and procedures.
?Effective interpersonal skills.
?Demonstrable understanding of budgetary control and financial awareness
