As Ladbrokes continues to grow we are seeking a Shop & Payables Supervisor to join the Finance team based at our Head Office.Reporting to the Shop Accounts Manager, the role will provide a range of duties including the following:
- Managing the day to day operations of the group accounts payable and retail shop data functions.
- Manage the payment process via bacs, chaps, cheque and internal transfer whilst selecting the most appropriate methods
- Resolve any issues arising from approval, authorisation and payment of invoices
- Assist with the retail month end and accounting process, largely through balance sheet reconciliations, journals and reporting, such as cash flow forecasting
The Shop & Payables Supervisor should have proven experience of working at this level in a previous capacity and have strong skills managing a high volume AP function within a cash business, preferably in a retail group and be able to develop and evaluate employees performance and workload, involving determining work priorities and implementing changes to improve productivity and efficiencyYou will have a sound understanding of accounting principles and accounts payables processes. Particularly double entry bookkeeping, banking methods, bank reconciliations and VAT accounting. Your IT skills will include intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word with previous Oracle Financials experience or experience of large commercial accounting systems.
