At our Ashby dairy in Leicestershire, we currently have an opportunity for an Operations Manager to lead our fast paced team and manage the continued success of the site.
The role reports to the Vice President of Operations and is the No. 1 on site, leading the site operations and management team in developing and implementing the site strategy and contributing to the delivery of the Arla Foods business goals.
Key responsibilities involve driving efficiencies through continuous improvement and enhanced performance in line with the site strategy and business goals.The role-holder will have full accountability for the site P&L account and follow a pro-active industrial and employee relations agenda. The ability to develop people, identify talent and succession plan will be fundamental.
Specific Duties
- Lead, coach, manage and develop site management team and progress talent
- Communicate and implement business goals through site management team
- Develop and manage site budgets
- Lead and drive change that affects site
- Ensure compliance with company, customer and legal standards
- Participate in developing supply chain strategies and business plans
- Develop site strategy and prioritise business goals
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Develop site CAPEX proposal with demonstrated ROI analysis
The successful candidate will have proven experience in managing people and change within an FMCG environment and will have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Experience within a dairy/food/drinks/ environment is desirable along with experience of working in an unionised environment.
