Job Position:Senior Engine Development Engineer

Reporting To:T & D Operations Manager

Job Status:Permanent Staff

Qualifications:Degree Qualified

Essential Experience:

Candidates must have experience of the development of either Gasoline or Diesel
Engines.

Experience may relate to the test and development of various engine
systems; e.g. fuel, EGR, after-treatment, ventilation, mechanical systems, turbo chargers, boost systems etc.

You should also have good understanding of test equipment and a structured approach to problem solving.

Diesel engine performance and emissions awareness.

Desirable Experience:

Understanding of test instrumentation.

Team-working and communications skills.

Responsibilities:

Working closely with design engineers and others to ensure systems meet product requirements, the jobholder will:
· Design, plan and organise test programmes.
· Diesel emissions analysis.
· Provide input and feedback to design team.
· Provide technical leadership to technicians/engineers as appropriate.
· Matching turbo-chargers to diesel engines in accordance with performance targets
· Creating tests using DOE and other techniques
· Supervising Test Engineers

Basic Hours:39hrs / week 08:00 to 17:00 (13:00 on Fridays)

Salary/Rate:

Range, depending on seniority, £30000 to £40000 - possibly up to £50000 for exceptional candidate

Relocation:Generally covering all physical relocation costs.
