We are now recruiting for a Software Development Manager who will be accountable for planning and managing the deployment of Software Bundles (as created by the systems development teams) as requested by environment owners. Also to manage the logging and tracking of Software Patches
Your accountabilities would include:
• Defining and implementing the standards, processes, templates for both Software Deployment and Patch Management.
• Ensuring that all stakeholders in these processes are informed of the standards. Enforce compliance to these standards.
• Ensuring that software bundles are of sound quality and that a risk adverse approach is taken when evaluating the ‘fitness’ for deployment.
• Ensure that all stakeholders are kept well informed of the status of Patches and Software bundles.
• Ensure proper housekeeping of all patch and software bundle repositories.
• Manage the selection of Patch Management tools
To be successful you need to have a sound appreciation of both Software and hardware procurement and maintenance life cycles with a good understanding of Software and Hardware architectures – including but not limited to Oracle/HP. You must also have previous experience in Software Deployment and/or Patch Management – preferably with Oracle products.
You must also have good communication skills and be able to build relationships with all stakeholders; with a high attention to detail and excellent planning skills. If you are interested in facing a new challenge and have the skills to strengthen our team further, then we want to hear from you.
