Our client is one of the longest established companies within the new media sector. They provide a variety of content and service based solutions, applications and billing mechanisms via their INDEX.NET platform.
Position Summary:
Working on various projects ranging from small integrations and controls, up to large scale team projects spanning weeks or months.
Responsibilities:
·Designing, developing and supporting highly visible, high throughput applications,
websites and controls using Visual Studio 2008 & .NET 3.5.
·Building interfaces to existing payment interfaces (both internal and external).
·Providing requirements, detailed designs, unit tests and documentation for complex software systems.
·Development and ownership of diverse software projects.
·Liaising with commercial staff to produce requirements and estimations of completion times.
Core Skills:
·Strong C# & ASP.NET
·Knowledge of web services and WCF.
·Knowledge of testing strategies including unit testing and mocking frameworks
·Appreciation of OO design, design patterns and multi tier software.
·Knowledge of ASP.NET & IIS
·Understanding of relational database design & optimisation using SQL Server 2000-2008
