- Location: Staines (TW18 3BY)
- Purpose: Support the IS teams and the Business to determine the various solution options that meet the Business requirements and are in line with the Architecture roadmap
Solution Architect - The Role- Contribute to the production and understanding of high level business requirements
- Act as a role model in exploiting existing system solutions and creating design options, which will maintain the integrity of the Architecture Roadmap
- Work with the Business to maximise value from solutions, and with Architecture to establish the strategic framework for future developments
- Build effective working relationships with Architecture and Application Teams and champion the development of a ‘virtual' design team
- Provide design expertise throughout the project lifecycle
- Take lead on resolving of cross project design issues and risks and providing support to Project and Programme Managers where required
- Provide impact and risk analysis of changes against the existing application architecture.
- Work closely with external suppliers (where appropriate) to develop solution options to meet requirements
- Responsible for creating Solution Architect documents
- Provide guidance to Application teams on Software design standards, and ensure a consistent approach is used across all Application teams

- Knowledge of structured design methodologies
- Knowledge of UML
