Solutions Architect – Public Sector / Central Government
My client is one of the worlds’ leading IT consultancies. They specialise in delivering best of breed technology solutions in IT infrastructure to Enterprise scale corporations and government organisations. They asses, plan, source, integrate and manage their IT infrastructure to deliver technology optimisation. Owing to recent expansion they are currently recruiting for an experienced Solutions Architect.
Technology includes: Enterprise Infrastructure, Transformational Services (primarily Microsoft technology based), Data Centre Services, Managed Services, Networks, Outsourcing, Unified Comms, Storage, Virtualisation - selling the preferred vendors (Tier 1) technology (HP, NetApp, IBM, Microsoft, Symantec, Cisco, Oracle, Google ...) and associated services.
Due to continued success across the board in the Public Sector division: my client has a requirement for a specialist, commercially aware, Solutions Architect to assist the Public Sector team on winning complex multi million pound sales bids.
Typical bids could include working with all of the above listed technologies in complex multi million pound bids.
Your role will be to engage with the client on both a commercial and technical level and design complex technical architecture to fit round their business needs.
Typical deals could see you outsourcing an entire Universities Microsoft email architecture to the datacenter to be hosted and managed, designing the new hosted Unified Comms Hosed telecom architecture from fixed line to a hosted solution. In the same multi million pound deal, you could be moving the CRM database, storage and hardware.
This is a very technically complex, challenging, rewarding, senior, client facing role.
In return for your skills and experience you can expect a basic salary of around £65k + £15k bonus + Car allowance + excellent benefits.
