Solutions Development Manager - Pitney Bowes Management Services.
Location- Watford but other locations considered due to significant international travel requirements

One of our many offering extends to Document Process Outsourcing via our Pitney Bowes Management Services (PBMS) division where this role resides.
Summary of Position:
This position is responsible for the production and early customer implementation of Critical Customer Communications and document based outsourced processes.The position will be responsible for the initial and ongoing development of solutions over their lifecycle in accordance with the solution business plan.This position will be hands on but will also be responsible for managing a team of internal and external technical resource to deliver solutions of the agreed quality, timescales and budget.
Accountabilities:- Assist the Marketing department to produce solution business plans providing the required technical knowledge.
- Convert the solution business plan into a functional specification and development schedule.
- Identify and resource the relevant technical skills and resources necessary to deliver the solution.
- Provide hands on configuration of software and documentation required in the development schedule, i.e. creating and documenting functional specifications.
- To create the implementation, operational and support processes as required.
- Develop a technology focused strategy based on the most appropriate and where relevant leading technologies to ensure solutions have a commercial advantage in the field.
- Ensure that solutions are launched to market complete as defined by the solution strategy
- Implement and support early Customers and operate the solution assisting the transfer to the Regional teams after the agreed performance levels/Client volume is reached.
Business Knowledge/Skills/Educational Background
Essential:
·Experienced and in depth knowledge gained from working within a professional services organisation developing processed based document solutions in ETL, Composition, Print and Output technologies.Example technologies are the PBBI suite (Group 1), Thunderhead.
·Experience of and proven capability to understand business processes relevant to multi-channel communications management in document intensive processes, (examples are application insurance applications fulfilment, credit card application fulfilment, claims processing) and be able to convert this into a functional specification and Vice Versa (convert to business terms a functional specification).
·Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects through to completion on time, budget and at the specified quality levels.
·A sound technical understanding of the underpinning technologies used in the composition output area.
·To be an excellent communicator to evangelise the solutions internally and in support of Sales at CEO level within a client
·Educated to degree level and/or with substantial relevant experience.
·A business level of English language is essential however a second European language (ideally French or German) would be an advantage.
