Based in Greenford, reporting to the Stores Team Leader, your job will be to ensure that delivered production material meets the specifications demanded.
Your key responsibilities will include:-
·Ensure production goods are inspected to the defined standard. The Inspection is to include verification against purchase order, certificate of conformity, first article inspection report (FAIR), dimensional or other physical attributes.
·Ensure all non-conforming material is rejected and complete all rejection documentation.
·Provide support to QA and Procurement to follow through quality issues to resolution.
·Raise and close (where appropriate) FRACAS reports.
·To ensure material is transferred to and from the Material Review Board.
·Verify FAIRs to support development and new product activities
·Final receipt of ‘inspection passed’ production material.
·Ensure all inspected production material is stored correctly and that excellent standards of location control is maintained and lot/serial is traceable.
·Work to industry standard procedures
·Ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and completed in accordance with company procedures
·To actively contribute to improvement initiatives, and make recommendations where appropriate, to maintain high levels of control and efficiency.
·To maintain the high quality standards that our customers expect.
We are looking for someone who has inspection experience in an electronics and/or mechanical environment with good communication skills both verbally and in writing.
You will have experience of liaising with internal and external customers and be able to proactively manage your own work to in order to achieve objectives.You must be able to work on your own initiative within the scope of the role and plan work and deliver it on time.
An immediate start is available for the right candidate. This is a contract position with a possibility of becoming permanent.
Hours:M-F 39 hours per week
