Looking for an electrical engineer who is experience in testing commissioning and inspecting highway utilities across the south of the UK. You will have the experience of doing the instillations as well as bringing together the information and writing it up in report format to then submit to the HA.

Based in the Midlands you will be employed by a contractor with responsibilities for multiple sites across Birmingham and surrounding areas. You duties will be to make sure all the electrical lighting and utilities being constructed by the contractor are to the satisfaction of the consultancy.

You must come from an electrical background with the desire to forward your career in a company, which is the UK leading Highways electrical consultancy. Previous experience in inspection, testing and commissioning of street lighting is a must and a desire to build on your experiences. They are seeking someone who will be able to take this information and write reports on behalf of the highways agency and then submit these to there clients.

Ideally my client is looking for someone who had come from a contractor background as to understand fully what is being undertaken on site. Using this previous background knowledge you will be the link between the construction and what has actually been designed.

Within this consultancy there are many opportunities to progress. Ideally they are looking for someone who will want to take responsibility for their own works and that of the other members of the team. Developing into a more managerial position as time goes on.
