A fantastic and rare opportunity for an experienced ITIL Services Manager to lead the Service Management Centre operations of a major Telecoms company based in the Manchester, Lancashire, Stockport, Cheshire, North West England area.

Woking for a leading and highly respected service provider in the capacity of Supplier Service Manager, the position is offered on a permanent basis with a basic salary of circa £35,000 plus an exceptional and comprehensive corporate benefits package.

Leading and managing a team of Service Associates within the SMC/Customer Operations function, this position takes ownership for proactively managing the end to end relationship with BT Openreach and the service provided to customers by developing and implementing both tactical and strategic solutions. Developing the service relationship with key suppliers and focusing on customer satisfaction areas that are impacted by service delivery.

Providing operational service management support the position encompasses managing the full 360 degrees of service management/service delivery, not only to internal based customers but also external key suppliers & reseller partners. It includes a heavy amount of change management, business transformation project management, risk management, process management, process reengineering, quality system deployments, problem / incident management and training & development initiatives.

Through conducting detailed business analysis and root cause investigations through to producing process maps and reviewing compliance requirements, the Service Manager will capture business requirements and implement the required solutions, in order to drive process improvement and business transformation projects which champion quality customer services and customer satisfaction.

You will also take the lead in proactively developing and delivering service improvement initiatives with your internal/external customers and key suppliers reviewing the overall measurable benefits. You will strive to deliver business critical improvements and maximising new customer opportunities.

The required candidate will have a strong background in Customer Services/Service Management with a proven background in process improvement. This will include formal accreditations in Prince 2, ITIL, APMP or Six Sigma methodologies.

Furthermore you will have successfully driven change initiatives and re-engineered complex processes across a large organisation encompassing multiple internal departments and the training of management teams.

With an eye for detail and methodical approach the ideal candidate will use root cause analysis techniques and comprehensive business analysis skills to document change plans and promote the incentives across the operations management team.

The successful preparation of business cases and management of budgets will form a major aspect of this role as will the ability to secure buy-in from project sponsors, stakeholders and resources.

Candidates will need a detailed commercial, regulatory and technical understanding of issues associated the Telecoms, Mobile, Internet, ISP or other similar environments and should be familiar with WAN, Bandwidth, Capacity, Ethernet, IP Transit, Internet, Broadband & ASDL products & services.
