Supply Chain - Logistics Controller / Supply – Logistics Assistant Salary: £16,000 - £19,000 Depending on experience The Role: Supply Chain - Logistics Controller / Supply – Logistics Assistant Fantastic opportunity to gain experience working with all areas of the supply chain covering purchasing / logistics / dispatch. Duties • Maintain required stock levels to forecasted sales and customer orders in a timely, efficient manner.
• Planning and coordinating deliveries of finished goods to customers including booking in deliveries with customers via e-mail and telephone
• Liaise with other departments to ensure the highest customer service is met and relevant internal processes are carried out accurately and efficiently
• Monitor movement of stock and maintain accurate stock levels
• Coordinate suppliers to ensure timely delivery of components and materials
• Control outbound transport charges through cost effective use of delivery options
• Allocate stock to customer orders correctly and within acceptable time limits
• Complete administration for goods in and goods out procedures accurately
• Complete administration associated with Purchasing duties accurately
• Raise sales invoices accurately and within time deadlines
• Arrange the collection and delivery of parcels and mail in the UK and internationally
• Maintain stock tool levels accordingly
• Contribute to the purchasing of items and services for the Company, including office stationery The Candidate: Supply Chain - Logistics Controller / Supply – Logistics Assistant
Candidates should have some experience in a purchasing / logistics role, ideally within the manufacturing environment.
Strong IT skills including, Excel, Access, Word and Outlook are required.
Must have strong customer service sills, with experience of dealing with a wide range of
customers and suppliers.
