Local Care Force is recruiting for experienced Hostel Support workers in Newcastle to start immediately.
There are both part time hours and ad-hoc shifts available. The post involves supporting adults who have recently become Homeless and advising them on housing issues, including benefits, budgeting, nutrition, sexual health and general welfare.
As the post often involves supporting clients with a history of substance misuse, previous experience of working within the substance misuse sector would be a distinct advantage.
Please note: Previous experience working within a Hostel or Sheltered housing environment is essential. No training will be given and you may be required to work on your own.
An enhanced CRB disclosure will be required.
