My client offers care and support to older people (65+) suffering from age related illness such as dementia, strokes and other difficulties associated with older age. They are a private home located in a rural area within the Herefordshire area.
They are currently seeking a full time support worker to join their current team. Your role will be to provide care and support to the elderly within a residential setting, You will provide support and encouragement to Service Users in all areas and activities of daily living, contribute to the assessment of Service User’s needs and the development of individualised plans of care and support in consultation with Service Users, their relatives and the Care Team and act as an associate worker for an identified Service User, or designated group.
Applicants looking to apply will preferably have an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care and to have previously worked with the elderly. In return you will be offered the chance to complete your level 3 in care.
Hours of work are 8am to 3pm or 2pm to 9pm. The hourly rate is £6 weekdays and £6.50 weekends with time and a half available for overtime.
