Supported Housing Development Manager


My client are a leading contractor specializing in regeneration and social housing solutions. In recent years they have developed their portfolio in the extra care and older person’s housing sector and have ambitious growth plans to further develop within the sector.

As a result of their planned growth, they have an exciting opportunity for a Supported Housing Development Manager to proactively develop existing relationships with clients and create new business opportunities to deliver housing for the older person’s market in the Yorkshire and East of England areas.

The role ofthe Supported Housing Development Manager

You will be working remotely in a strategic field based role establishing and building relationships with prospective and current partners/clients to develop partnerships to deliver Extra Care type housing and facilities for older people with special needs.

Key accountabilities:

§Identify and qualify strategic leads for potential new partnerships opportunities with local authorities and housing providers

§Develop new strategic business relationships with organisations to generate partnerships and to develop program opportunities either replacing residential care or remodeling sheltered housing

§Liaising with clients to evolve solutions to meet their needs

§Undertaking research and providing recommendations and reports on future market trends and conditions relating to the ageing population

§Managing the sale process from identifying and qualifying a lead, to arranging appointments and meeting with the potential client, to being the introduction and interface for the pre construction and delivery team

The person - Supported Housing Development Manager

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the Older Person’s market and ideally have experience generating leads and creating new business within the “older person’s market” sector. You must be commercial astute with sound awareness of current legislative and climate changes with the current ageing market.

This is a field based role which requires a highly resilient and self motivated individual who can organise and plan their time efficiently to maximise results and delivery. With excellent communication and relationship building skills, you will use your contacts and knowledge of the market to generate leads and explore new innovative ways of moving forward to reach targets.
