Housing Officer Manchester
£10 - £15 p/hour
Our client is looking for a Supported Housing Officer to work 5 days per week. You must be a car driver and be able to access the Greater Manchester Area.
You will working closely with care and support providers, provide a comprehensive Supported Housing service to all residents in registered care homes
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- To work with tenants and their advocates to sign tenancy agreements.
- Liase with and advise staff/residents on all matters relating to occupancy agreements and benefit entitlement.
- Assist tenants in making arrangements for paying charges and implement the Groups Arrears and Evictions policies.
- To ensure the security of the building wherever possible and promote good practice among staff/residents, including procedures in the event of fire?
- To undertake regular health and safety checks
- To promote resident involvement, ensuring staff/residents have the maximum opportunity to actively participate in the running of the home.
- To administer the provision of landlord services including cleaning and gardening.
- Report repairs or maintenance items and organise renewals or replacements as required. Liase with technical services and external contractors to ensure works are satisfactorily completed.
- To provide clear information of facilities and equipment and ensure staff/residents know how to use all the equipment it.
- Be self-servicing (e.g. letters, report and electronic mail messages) ensure good practice in maintaining and updating all types of files
To apply for this role you must have extensive experience and housing knowledge including recent involvement in Welfare Benefits and Tenancy Agreements.
