Systems Engineer - DOORS , safety-critical systems , aerospace / defence
Location - Wiltshire
Salary - £35k-£40k
Systems Engineer - An extremely successful engineering company currently seek talented Systems Engineers to work on Research and Development projects . Candidates will offer a broad knowledge of the SE lifecycle with core strengths in requirement elicitation and system design. You must also demonstrate the ability to abstract to high levels of System Design and not be drawn into detail but maintain appreciation of the effects of their decisions on associated sub-systems. A number of the projects are now expressing the requirements in semi-formal methods (e.g. UML) which are adaptation of techniques used in the software industry. so we are looking at candidates that either have UML experience or can be trained in the techniques.
Commutable Locations - Wiltshire , Swindon , Calne , Bath , Bristol , North Somerset , Gloucestershire
Systems Engineer Key Responsibilities :
• Requirements capture , analysis and management using DOORS
• Systems design and analysis
• Product specification
• Participation in configuration management and control
• Review and inspection of design submissions from external suppliers
• Product validation
• Providing support to production of system safety case
Systems Engineer Qualifications and Experience :
• Commercial experience in systems engineering or design of safety critical or safety related real-time embedded systems.
•Knowledge of the systems engineering life-cycle, cost awareness and awareness of processes involved in other engineering disciplines.
•Experience of working to industry quality and safety standards
