We are advertising this vacancy on behalf of MiTrem Premier Recruitment Limited, who is acting as an employment agency. The ideal candidate will have either experience in joinery or shop fitting. You will be responsible for managing and motivating the technical team to meet sales and production deadlines, with a positive and pro-active “whatever it takes” attitude; liaising between colleagues, suppliers and clients relating to technical issues; attend meetings both internally and off site as well as carrying out visit to nationwide supply base for production control visits; demonstrate commercial awareness during project development and estimating phases; ensure drawings and estimates are produced remain cross compatible; produce and maintain monthly reports; convert concept brief/visualisations to viable manufacturing processes; understand market trends and new material developments as well as manufacturing processes and machinery.Ideally you will be technically competent with CAD; be able to commercially asses best methods to engineer all products from scratch; create solid 3D models using Inventor and associated Autodesk software; Creation of CNC programmes using Alpha-CAM software; understanding and ability in the use of our MRP system; familiar with Excel; check new products at goods-in for compatibility to drawings; Internal project supervision of prototype manufacture; recording of daily time spent on the technical schedule of works spreadsheet. Full training will be provided for the use of the software systems if necessary. You will need to lead by example; work well in a team and off your own initiative; be self motivated; positive, solution focused at all times and possess a good sense of humour.
