Our client operates in a niche market and has a strong presence in Australia and South East Asia. Due to expansion they are seeking a new technical manager.

You will be required to support pipeline assessment job projects and lead research & developments projects, developing new techniques and improving existing methods that will keep the business at the leading edge of the industry. The role will require you to lead small teams, coordinate projects and travel throughout Australia and the region. You will work in the field and in the lab and liaise directly with suppliers and clients.
A science degree or an engineering degree is a prerequisite for this position. Ideally you will have a materials analyst background and be well versed in inspection and investigation techniques, familiar with ultrasonic thickness measurement, linear polarisation resistance testing and the development of statistical assessment tools. Previous exposure to pipeline assessment whilst well regarded is not essential. You may be currently working in the water, oil and gas industry or in the development of NDT or measurement devices.
