We are currently
looking for a Talent Manager to join our highly successful and expanding team
Duties
and Responsibilities
·To develop and maintain relationships with past and present professional
cricketers with a view to signing them as exclusive clients of Essentially.
·To develop and maintain relationships with key press contacts with a
view to placing Essentially clients into the media.
·To develop and maintain relationships with County Cricket Club coaches
and managers with a view to placing Essentially clients at such clubs.
·To develop and maintain relationships with Indian Premier League
franchises with a view to seeing what posts are available or may become
available in the future and then placing Essentially clients to fill these
posts.
·To source and negotiate commercial opportunities for Essentially
clients.
·To keep up to date with all things in the world of cricket such as
following the progress of Essentially clients, keeping track of current matches
and tours and knowing what future tours are on the horizon. This also
includes being aware of other management company’s activities and which players
they manage.
·To liaise with clients to ensure they are happy with the service being
provided by Essentially staff.
·To be proficient with contract negotiation when dealing with media, sponsorship
and playing contracts.
·To negotiate favourable deals for Essentially clients with Cricket
teams.
To be
a successful applicant for this role you will need to demonstrate:
·A degree
qualification in a Sports related subject
·Excellent
relationships throughout the Cricket world including personal contacts with a
large number of current and past first class and international Cricketers,
ideally on an international as well as UK basis
·Well developed existing contacts and relationships within the sports
media and general press
·Existing contacts and relationships with commercial partners in the
cricket industry e.g. bat manufacturers
·In depth and current knowledge of County Cricket
club coaches and managers and Indian Premier League franchises
·Previous experience of successful contract negotiation
·A
detailed knowledge of the financial aspects of the current cricket market.
Salary package – £30,000
