Reporting to the Taxation Manager you will ensure the statutory obligations in respect to tax are complied with including maintaining systems and processes to deliver timely, accurate tax returns, to provide quality, timely taxation advice to operating management. The key responsibilities include:
- Review account analysis work and finalise queries
- Complete Tax Returns, Business Activity Statements, Fringe Benefits Tax Returns in accordance with relevant legislation
- Complete Quarterly Tax Accounting model for reporting
- Sign off Balance Sheet Reconciliations for tax liabilities and assets
- Monitor compliance
- Provide Tax advice across the range of taxes to operating management
- Manage Systems requirements for the Tax Department
- Assist with ATO Client Risk Reviews/Audits
As the successful candidate you will be CPA/CA qualified and have had extensive experience in a corporate tax environment with excellent technical ability. This role requires someone with a 'hands on' proactive approach with outstanding communication and relationship building skills with previous management or leaderships abilities. To finalise the requirements you will work closely in a team orientated environment and possess a friendly, social attitude, with the ability to take initiative, experience with a large ERP system (preferably SAP) although not essential and previous experience in a FMCG would be advantageous.
