A market leading Financial Trading Software House requires a Technical / Software Consultant with a background in software application support to help expand their team as a result of recent growth. This is a superb opportunity for an experienced Application / Software Support Analyst, ideally from a software house or consultancy background, to join a company in the city who has managed to maintain growth despite difficult economic conditions. You will be responsible for providing application support, technical consultancy, configuration, implementation, training etc to demanding clients.
COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: London, Hertfordshire, Surrey, Kent, Essex
Technical / Software Consultant with Application Support background - Key Responsibilities:
•Plan, configure, install and roll-out internet-based software running on Microsoft Windows platforms.
•Provide second and third line technical support to clients in the City
•Provide high-level technical consultancy to clients, such as product configuration and training
• Train and mentor more junior team members.
Technical/Software Consultant - Qualifications and Experience:
•Excellent Computer Science or related degree
•Practical experience of using and understanding TCP/IP and/or SQL /SQL Server. Proficient in Windows 2000/XP/2003
•Experience of working in a software house supporting mission critical software / systems / applications for external clients
•Excellent communication skills are also essential
