Kier Partnership Homes are looking to recruit a Technical Co-ordinator who will be based at our Aldridge offices. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic mixed tenure housing developer delivering key housing requirements in the West Midlands. As part of the technical team you will manage the contract design process and provide technical support during build activity, working closely with the Commercial and Construction teams, to delivery a successful project to time and cost.

Requirements
Manage the external design team in the planning, technical co-ordination and design information functions on individual projects from Award of Contract to Client Handover and liaise with all members of the project delivery team.

Responsibilities
  • Instigate all relevant actions detailed within our Operation Procedures.
  • Ensure all co-ordination issues relating to contract issues are implemented between design team, construction team, employers agent and client.
  • Review development and service company costs; technical criteria and programme for contract.
  • Control and co-ordinate design team meetings to ensure information is produced correctly to financial budget and time constraints.
  • Instigate and process all technical issues during the post contract stage of a project.
  • Review and produce on a monthly basis service and development cost schedules.
  • Attend where required sub-contractor and project team meetings to ensure health and safety/design/technical co-ordination details are performed.
  • Assist the Contracts Manager in the preparation and administration of contract requirements for tenant consultation, local employment and training.
  • Produce Tenants manuals and the Health and Safety File/Operation and Maintenance Manual.


The Individual
  • Previous experience delivering mixed tenure Housing projects managing a broad spectrum of developments concurrently.
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Planning, Technical, Architectural and Engineering issues with a keen grasp of Building Regulation and Legislation issues and the Delivery of Code for Sustainable Homes solutions.
  • A team player able to manage themselves and drive technical issues and projects to a successful conclusion.
  • Professional qualification an advantage.
