Working as a Technical Consultant for this expanding application and software house based in Watford, Hertfordshire is a fantastic opportunity to join as they experience a sustained period of growth. The successful candidate is likely to be a good "all rounder" with skills in Windows Servers, Networking, SQL Server, VB and/or SQL scripting and ideally some knowledge of some of the following: Citrix, Web Servers (IIS, Apache or Tomcat) and VMWare.
As a Technical Consultant you will be responsible for using your technical skills in Windows Server (2003 upwards), SQL Server (basic DBA, installation, performance tuning, application software installation, data configuration, troubleshooting issues, script writing and remote connectivity using Cisco, Check Point or VPN. All Technical Consultants please read on!
As a crucial part of the Consultancy team you will have excellent customer skills (this role will involve mainly remote work with the customer but on occasions you will be required to travel to customer sites so a clean driving licence is required). Installing and configuring products for customer use, upgrading and migrating products, investigation of performance issues, working with Project Managers and improving current processes are key elements of this role.
This role will require someone who can and will take ownership of issues and be focused on delivering to a high level of customer satisfaction.
