We are currently recruiting for a number of technical customer support agents to work in the Warrington area.
As a member of the customer support department, you will be responsible for handling customer support callls and providing technical support to the customers.
The department is very busy and customer care and issue resolution is very important. The role centres around owning and resolving customer queries to a high standard. The team operates Mon - Fri 9am - 8pm and Sat - Sun 9am - 6pm, so some weekend work may be required.
Essential requirements:
- Excellent customer service skills including verbal and written communication.
- Good telephone manner, proactive and helpful.
- Ability to work as part of a team and under pressure.
- A good understanding of modems and connection methods e.g. Dial-up networking, IDSN and ADSL
- Working knowledge of TCP / IP
- Basic understanding of DNS
- Ability to take ownership of complex client issues and persue them through until resolution
- Familiarity with HTML, PHP, MY-SQL and PERL
- Some knowledge of Unix / Linux
- Understanding of DNS, MX and A records, C-Name
- Understnding of top level domains
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP and internet protocols such as POP, SMTP, IMAP and HTTP/S
