This multidisciplinary, international consultancy have an exciting opportunity available for a Technical Director to lead the Marine ecology team based in Chepstow. This is an exceptional opportunity for a market leading consultant to join this expanding organisation in an exciting period of growth, working with high profile clients in the green energy arena.
*Qualification- Candidates for this role will hold a relevant BSc / MSc / PhD, professional memberships and further qualifications are anticipated.
*Experience- Candidates will hold considerable previous experience and knowledge in Marine ecology consultancy, with a demonstrable track record of business development in this field. Those with an in-depth knowledge of EIA and policy development will be at an advantage.

Duties Include:
- Developing the business stream in the marine renewable, oil and gas, power sectors
- Delivery of high profile technical projects
- Developing and mentoring a team of ecologists and marine specialists
- Providing expert technical marine ecology and environmental advice
- Liaising with clients and other stakeholders, local authorities and public bodies
- Large scale project management
- Advising clients of costs and benefits of associated schemes/ policies
You will work as part of an expanding multidisciplinary office, offering a variety of services to high profile UK and international clients, in both the public and private sector.
Current projects include Renewable energy schemes, coastal oil and gas developments, port developments, aggregate extraction and coastal / sea/ estuary defences.
