Our client are now looking to recruit a Technical Manager for there North East Lincolnshire based manufacturing site.
Reporting to the General Manager, and as part of Senior Management Team you will be responsible for the Product Design & Product Support Team, the main function of the role is to plan and implement pre and post sales activities in order to meet company targets for retention, growth and profitability through active customer technical support and service, and through product development and improvement.
Your key responsibilities will include -
- Plan and implement a process ensuring customer requirements are clearly identified as part of the system analysis methodology
- Develop and qualify products to satisfy the requirements of industry guidelines, standards and customer specifications
- Identify materials, processes and technologies that can improve the quality, reliability and performance of our existing and future products.
Who we are looking for
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Must be adept in use of MS Office suite, and ideally Access or similar database to basic level, Internet and email.
- Must be competent in report writing
- Must be an excellent communicator
- Ability to manage projects and see through to completion
- Possess a personal presence, able to demand respect from workforce
- Self motivation with the ability to drive through results
- Friendly, persuasive and assertive, able to achieve results through a logical and systematic approach
- A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance.
- Reliable, tolerant, and determined. Good communicator, able to see things from the other person's point of view.
- Personal presence and has gained customer credibility and trust
- Strong engineering background
- Proven track record in product development and R&D
- Customer focused
- Experience in fatigue analysis is desirable
- Experience from Marine/Offshore industries is valuable
Dunlop Oil & Marine part of the Continental AG, are a world leader in the design, manufacture and supply of hoses for the oil, gas, petrochemical and dredging industries. With ambitious product development and capacity expansion plans, they are now looking to recruit a high calibre Technical Manager for there North East Lincolnshire site.
